Retreat Details:

Who is the retreat for?

Our MTB retreats are designed for busy, active women who want to spend their weekend shredding some amazing trails and not worrying about the details. You can expect: expert MTB skills coaches, delicious and nourishing meals, luxury lodging options, plus some amazing wellness activities.

Who typically attends these retreats?

Most of our retreat attendees have at least a few years of experience mountain biking. They are familiar with the basics of the sport (braking, bike/body separation, using a dropper post, etc.) and are looking to get out on some new trails with other awesome women shredders.

Our retreat attendees are typically mid-career women who want a weekend of refreshment and riding without a lot of planning on their part. We are more of the “in-bed-by-9pm” crowd vs the “party-till-dawn” crowd. We’re here to have fun, connect, take care of our bodies, and get some time away from the day-to-day.

Expect to leave our feeling refreshed, energized, empowered and connected!

What sort of a rider do I need to be?

Oakridge offers intermediate to advanced riding. The trails have long, sustained descents, tight switchbacks, and there will always be some climbing. Friday afternoon we will ride Deadmountain trail which is almost entirely downhill. We will get to practice berm turns up high and more raw and techy singletrack down low. Trail stats: 5.4 miles with 185’ of elevation.

Saturday will be a big day! We will ride the world famous Alpine trail, with a Tire Mountain trail option. Alpine Trail stats: 15.6 Miles with 2,000’ vert and 4,500’ of descending! Add on Tire mountain trail for an additional 6 miles and extra 1,000’ of vert but almost 2,000’ more feet of descending! With either trail selection you will have a guide at your side all day, lunch, snacks, and mechanical assistance provided and bail out options if needed.

What is included in Oakridge

Choose between a bed in one of two amazing houses nested against the Hills Creek Reservoir. We will have private deck access for swimming. Or, you can camp either in a tent, your van, or trailer (under 20’). Camping will be directly adjacent to the houses so we will all feel like one happy community nested amongst the forests of central Oregon. Camping spots will be dry, there are no direct hook ups, but you will be able to use either house for showers, water, and hanging. All meals are covered from the time you arrive on Thursday afternoon to your departure Sunday morning. All dietary preferences will be accounted for, and remember, you’re signing up for a MTB RETREAT - we are going to treat you well with meals that will taste amazing, but won’t leave you feeling like you need to roll yourself into bed and a schedule that gets you out for amazing rides, but doesn’t leave you feeling like you need a vacation after your vacation.

  • All shuttles and transport during the retreat will be covered! yay!

  • You will need to bring your own bike and MTB gear. We will provide you with a packing list ahead of time.

  • Drinks such as kombucha, sparkling water, and NA beers will be provided. You are welcome to BYOB :)

  • Shuttles provided by Transcascadia Excursions

How many Women will be at the retreat?

Oakridge is capped at 20 total participants. Expect to be in a ride group with 6 other women and 2 amazing coaches!
